given that they ripped off the timmy, i'd assume this is just a ripoff of any of the marshall-y ODs/distortions out there. the Dirty Little Secret MKIII would be a good option here, and the layout is on the site..

Look this one up online and got a TGP thread on it.  It sounds like the Karen is close to a DLS - can't go wrong building one of those.  My preference would be to go for the Bearfoot Dyna Red distortion.  I just recently built the Model H, and it is, without a doubt, one of the best distortion circuits I've built so far (Crunch Box is a close second).  Dyna Red is next on my list...

Hi
I'take a look both to DLS and Dyna Red; Do you suggest model H?
Do they fit in a regular alluminium box?
thank you

I highly recommend the Model H - very nice, smooth, crunchy gain.  It also responds well to being pushed by a booster pedal.

As I mentioned, I plan to try building the Dyna Red, which is probably more of a Marshall sound.  I also want to check out the Model G as the online demos for that pedal sound great as well.

Hi Frank
Is it not model H a HIWATT in a box?
As i need it to play ACDC (i play mainly Malcom's parts) what do you think aboyt Catalinbread Dirty little secret MKIII? Where can i find the layout?
Don't you think it isa little bit "gainer"?
Thank you
Peter

Re: VEMURAM KAREN

Well, there's more to ACDC's sound than what can be captured just one pedal.   Malcom plays a modded '63 Gretsch Firebird, so that's part of his sound equation.  Both Young brothers play Marshall amps.

I've been impressed with the BJFe and Bearfoot circuits so far, so for myself I'd try out the Dyna Red for a more Marshall sound.  But the DLS is great too.  I guess you'll have to build them both to find out for sure!    Good luck and let us know what you end up building.

Thank you Frank
Actually i play some Gibson LP CS and SG CS in an original 1969 SL 1959 head four holers or in an original 1985 SL 1959 head four holers or in some vintage  JMP 2203.
What i need is a pedal to overdrive my (almost) clean amps while retaining "that" kind of tone.
Maybe the DLS with SB option could fit better.
Does your vote go to Dyna Red?

I'd say try the Dyna Red and the DLS both.  You can choose the order.  At the end of the day you'd have some great overdrive/distortions.

Oh one more option - the Zen Drive is a great all rounder, and may fit your need for a versatile overdrive.  It's also a relatively simple build.  Also highly recommended.
