Zonk Machine fuzz silicon

Here's a vero I made for "Zonk against the machine".

It's a silicon adaptation of the classic Zonk Machine with added controls.
6 knobs... but some of the controls can easily be omitted if wanted.

I built this one today. The layout can be considered verified.

but it doesn't sound that good imo.. it's kinda nasty and sound alittle misbiased (with light picking some notes gets lost) and it starts to oscillate when turning up the fuzz too much. I played around with different transistors for almost an hour - BC108's was much better in Q1 and Q2.. Now it's sounds decent at lower fuzz-setting and it get pretty extreme when turning up the fuzz and playing around with the sag and comp pots - noisy, sputtery, gated and octaveish.. Not really my cut of tea though :P

The tone pot should be a C50K (or you could take lug 1 insted of lug 3 and use a A50K pot) for a useful sweep and the gainpot should be C100K. Now most of the action comes at the end of the turn.

I'll play around with this circuits alittle more tomorrow..
