anyone use Mklec.com ?

Wondering if this is a trustworthy source? I've had some bad luck with ICs recently. I'd like to order a bunch of 7660S from these guys. Anyone use them in the past, for ICs or anything else?

I have used them in the past. Good turn-a-round time and super nice folks. I have not used them in about a years time since I have somewhat graduated from building pre-compiled kits to doing all the sourcing myself etc.

To that end, I never had an issue with them and the parts were good quality. In fact, it was MKLEC that actually introduced me to low profile caps.

Well it seems consensus has already been reached but I'll put in a good word for Mklec. I've bought lm308, ca3080 from them. They have great prices on mlcc caps and a good variety of LDRs. Those are the standard things I've bought from them. Cheap, quick shipping too.

Bought a kit from them and a few extra parts last year off them. Fast postage. no problems with parts.

Yup, my Mklec order came yesterday. Spent some time with the 7660s. They are all working beautifully. None have burned out, unlike every single 7660s I got from Polida.

The both chips look identical, except for some numbers on the bottom of the chip.

Mklec says V12424P. Small font size.
Polida says V15084P. Larger font size.

I always got fine service from them as well - they can tend to be a less competitively priced on certain items, but high quality and fast if you need it quickly.

You know, it's possible that what's going on with Polida is that they're snapping up the production runs of any given semiconductor that don't pass QC and trying to resell them. My baseless speculation leads me to consider the possibility that those codes are lot numbers, and maybe the whole V15084P lot was not up to snuff so Polida said "hey I'll take those off your hands".
