fet mic pres : Fetboy / hampton

hobbyseason
just wondering if anyone here has made any mic preamps?
any reccomendations for a decent project, pcb or stripboard.

I came across this awesome article and couldn't help but imagine it on stripboard http://tapeop.com/tutorials/37/diy-jfet-mic-pre/

could this be doable? anyone up for the challenge of creating a vero layout?

I'm guessing adding a 48v supply for phantom could be an additional daughter board.

love to hear any thoughts :)

I built a couple of Paul In The Lab’s balanced mic pres that use the INA217 chip. I added input transformers but they sounded pretty good without the transformers anyway. A quick and easy project which already has a stripboard layout.

I had a look at the Fetboy mic pre when I was looking for diy mic pres and it looks like a good project. Fairly well regarded on studio diy forums. I also wouldn’t mind a layout to try.
