i'm reposting my problem from the main site

"hi there guys! i have a problem here.build it and i'm getting something like hum noise that is amplified with the gain pot.other than that it works. i'm using ac128 and ac176, and used the blend circuit Alex suggested. does anyone had the same problem? where should i start to fix this? thanks"


some demos have that "hum" too. is this normal?

Have you tried adding the Humminator to the front of the circuit? This worked well for me when building a Repeat Percussion.

i think animato already has a nice power filtering, but i could give it a try
anyway...i've probed my board any have to report these
the hum kicks in at the stage with the d4 and d5 on the schem

it starts just after 10uf. i've changed this and nothing. checked and replaced every single component. i've even breadboarded the stage and bypassed it to the main board.
nothing!
i get this hum sound like in this demo at 3:40. just before he hits the note and just when it fades outs

i'm testing this with a jaguar and a fender deluxe.
