so i got a request from a local musician to build him a multi effect enclosure.

Ordinarily not a problem, except for one thing:

he wants 4 channels. when he steps on channel 1, he wants that channel engaged and the other 3 channels to automatically turn off.  step on channel 3, then channel 1 turns off and channel 3 turns on.

i know this kind of switching system is possible, but i just have no idea where to start.  

can anyone point me in the right direction?

Not sure if pcb is a nono but one of the THCustoms switches has a radio button option that sounds ideal
