need advice for onboard booster

This post was updated on .
Hi guys,

i need a simple line booster for a circuit causing volume drop (tremolo).
i've seen many lpb-1,amz... and need your advices to select the simpliest one with or without trim to put it in the box after the fx.
i need many choice because i don't have lot of components and so must to find one that match with my stock (only mpf4393, some SI and some opamps) ;)

thanks

update:
what are the equivalent for the 2n5088? this Mark's schem is perfect for my build but don't have this transistor

i have 2n5089/bc184/mpf4393 and mpsa18

The biasing arrangement is pretty forgiving, so any npn BJT with similar spec to a 5088 should work fine. I think 5089 or MPSA18 are higher gain, but would probably both work ok.

nice, it works with the 5089, perfect supplement for my build to keep unity gain.

PS: the hole (copper side) on the vero (the compact one) isn't in the right column.
this is the corrected layout if anyone can update it.

i could be wrong but that cut is in the right column. it's actually not the copper side, but the top side of the board without any components in the way so you can see where to make it from the top.

The problem is just that there's an extra column in the track cuts image of the layout. It's 9 x 7 instead of 8 x 7 like the image with the components.

yes "copper side" isn't the right words, i mean the cut under (on the copper side)
