need help! could these be alive?

i got this from a friend who would through this away...



of course i opened it and i felt like i found a treasure!




and







and...



now i have all this mojo components (look at that big silver capacitor there!)

 

but my main question is

how can i say that those tubes are alive?



they came from a 500 years old radio...and is there any build that i could use them?
matsumin maybe?
