poor mans 4 waveform signal generator (on stripboard)

I know I just posted another project on here not so long ago and I don't want to take the piss but this is definitely something everyone who makes stuff needs

using a 555 timer you can get sine square triangle and integrator waveforms - although it does adjust higher than 1 KHz the waveforms become abit shit after that frequency however upto 1 KHz is plenty!

If I understand this correctly, changing the 1k from pin 7 to VCC to something like 30k should limit the upper frequency to 1kHz?
