pre-amp, overdrive, noise gates for blues harp

Hi folks - I've been asked if I can build some effects for a blues harp player. Anyone got links to vero/PCB layouts that might be suitable? In particular, I am interested in a solution that has compressed overdrive and a noise gate/limiter.  There will be a lot of high-end frequencies, so thinking that an EQ capability would also be useful.  Hope this rings a few bells out there and will appreciate any responses.  Best Wishes, Millibobs :)
