Beaker,s comment about smd 2n2457s and their closer tolerances is taken on board.Does anyone else out there have any to add about these and other smd.s?Yours Myron
When it comes to biasing SMD J201's using trimpots my advise is to use 100K trimpots. 20K, 30K and 50K seem to work fine with regular J201's, but with SMD J201's you really need 100K. Don't know why that is but I couldn't get them to bias to the right voltage using smaller value trimpots.
