split n blend question

Sensei Tim

i want to mod this circuit so that it essentially becomes a one input and 2 output signal.  the blend would be controlled by a modded wah pedal - pedal all the way down would be 100% blend on output 1 and all the way up would be 100% output on output 2.

output 2 would be running to a talk box set up and the volume pedal would be used to blend it in/out of the main signal.

i'm thinking to mod this circuit, delete the return jack and signal.  take the yellow send and connect it to pin 1 on the blend pot.  This should then allow you to pan between 2 different outputs, right?

main question is:  will there be any bleed-through from the other channel when the pot is at 0% or 100%?

or is this complete overkill?  can i simply take the input signal into pin 2 of the pot, and then have output 1 from pin 1 and output 2 from pin 3?

Maybe I'm saying something stupid here, but hope it helps:
Solution 1 seems to defeat the purpose of this circuit, an solution 2 would have bleed from the other channel.
If i understand correctly the mechanism of a pot wired w/ lug2 as the feeding wire, you would be applying a resistance to either outer lug, not killing the signal completely at the opposite end once the pot is dimed.
The only convenient solution i can think of would be a dual pot configured like the Gain pot on the Maxon OD820: while one side gets boosted the other is backed off.

So that would mean:
ALug 3 and BLug 1 jumpered and attached to your input
ALug 1 and BLug 3 jumpered and going to ground
ALug 2 and BLug 2 to the two outputs.

No f**** idea if this would actually work, just thinking out loud here  gotta breadboard this and see.
