Red Legacy - Soviet-Era Distortion

I got the schematic for this from a Russian youth magazine called "Юный Техник" "Young Technician". It dates to March of 1988.
The pedal is a MXR Distortion+ clone using an uncompensated Russian Op-Amp, K553UD2.
I am posting a layout for the original chip as well as one for western alternatives.
