Tim - the body and neck are both sealed in shellac and then lacquered (nitro). Since I’m working with aerosol cans the finish is extremely time consuming both in terms of application and wet sanding. The results are very high quality but it is grueling work.
Here’s a double bound pine Tele body I made that I’m also working on and the DC that was my first build.
