This is when i cut my teeth with pedal making!
it started out as a cool small hobby to get new tones and eventually spun out of control (in a good way).
everyone here was so supportive and open with sharing knowledge and troubleshooting tips and how-tos.
I did a little bit of the etch your own PCBs... enough to know that this wasn't a realistic option. did the OSHpark thing for a bit but then when i discovered JLC all bets were off. another thing that pushed me to PCBs is that the place that made and sold the large stripboard panels that i used to buy stopped making stripboard altogether. this kind of forced me to learn eagle as well.
A lot of the old timers here gave me a lot of inspiration. in no particular order, JohnK, Travis, Geiri, rocket88, kinski, Chris60601, IVIark, and so many others.
It forced me to learn inkscape and spend so many hours perfecting waterslides before moving to affinity designer and UV printing
how it started (i had to dig thru the show your pedal guts thread to find this pic)

and how it's going today:

i must have had a lot of trauma when it came to offboard wiring because i go out of my way now to not have ANY wiring in any pedal anymore lol
I have noticed that the forum and blog have slowed considerably from the peak period but this place is still such an incredible resource!
Keep on keepin' on!
