1590B vs 125B enclosures

Hey guys, finally got my parts from Tayda and going to start putting some pedals together. i ordered 1590b enclosures, but they look smaller than I thought they are. Are they too small for most of the builds? Should I exchange them for 125B enclosures?

Hi,

I use the 1590b enclosures for pretty much everything. Some builds like the 20x20 (approx) rows layouts can be a bit fiddly but it all fits with a bit of patience etc.

You should be able to get most of the layouts on here in a 1590B, but it can be a tight squeeze sometimes.  The 125B isn't that much bigger when you just look at the dimensions, but it feels a lot bigger when you're building in it.  Being able to put sockets comfortably over pots is a real bonus and the extra depth means you could probably even put the board over the stomp switch if you needed to.

I like both but the 125B is definitely nicer for some bigger circuits.

Awesome. Thanks for the info/help. honestly I'm really happy to find the site and be part of the community. You guys are the best. Gonna start building tomorrow now that I have what feels like a metric ton of parts.
