Big Tayda Order

ichilton
Hi,

I placed a big order with Tayda - which included some boxes, a lot of jack plugs etc.....

It seems to have been shipped by: http://www.speedpost.com.sg instead of the normal Singapore Post.

Seems to be taking a while though - a smaller order shipped two days after overtook it and arrived yesterday - 7 days after shipping, which is what my first order with them took. The big one is up to about 10 days since shipping now.

Anyone had this before? - who are the speedpost delivered by in the UK?

Thanks,

Ian

It seems different Tayda orders can take different amounts of time to reach their destination. In fact I seem to remember reading of people who spotted a few particular items as possible causes of delays, as orders always took a week more/less according to whether that item was included (can't remember which item it was, maybe 1590As? Could probably apply to others anyway).

It's usually been around 2 weeks for me when ordering a number of different items from the website, but only about a week when ordering from them through eBay for single lots (ie 20x2N5089).

I also seem to remember always receiving their stuff through Singapore Post.

You guys are lucky...

I'm in Canada: my first order was a big one and took about 2 weeks to get here. Now, all my orders take about 4-5 weeks to get here. I've accepted it as the norm. I'm guessin that first time a different carrier was used and now just regular post...

Sadly, delivery times for Tayda orders are too irregular.

Yesterday I received two orders from them: one sent on Feb 19th and the other one sent on Feb 8th! 11 days difference for two orders of similar weight, and Singaopre Post registered.

The most "usual" delivery time is two weeks, but I've had  from 6  (really quick) to 40 days. Just to mention that the quckest one was with Singapore post, and the 40 days one with Deutsche Post. All the rest of orders except one done by Hong Kong Post have been delivered by Singapore Post.

A lot of the times it can be sat in a Royal Mail delivery room waiting for someone to check it or rather if they can justifiably charge you 'handling charges'. I used to work for Royal Mail. It happens a lot.
