Perhaps I had a bad batch of lm301’s, but I experienced a very annoying fizziness with all the lm301’s I tried.  Eventually I replaced the lm301 with a ne5534 and the fiizziness was gone, sounding pretty much like what I have heard in the YouTube demo videos.

Thank you for the nice layout, Anders.
I built it yesterday, I used a TL071 (5534 didn't work) and it works fine.
The EQ is very efficient, and, as said above, it has a nice clean low end.

Apologies for necro-ing an old post, but it there a schematic for this circuit somewhere?  Getting the component layout is critical, but so is where to connect the externals (jacks, power, pots, switch, etc.)  I know they have to connect somewhere, but without a schematic, it's all guesswork (which liberates component smoke!)

Thanks!
