Colorsound overdriver pot

kirshman
I built the color sound overdriver from here and am wondering if you think a c pot would be better than the lin pot for a more even turn on the fuzz knob?  I don't like how all the fuzz is in the last 5% of the turn.

Definitely. It's the same circuit as the BAT Black Forest and it worked much better in there.

Can't recommend this switch more. Probably moved fuzz from that last 5% to last 25% of the turn, and definitely a more gradual transition than the abrupt jump it was before.

If you want to use it as a dirt pedal then yes, change it to a C taper pot, you will get much better control.

However, I personally much prefer the linear taper pot as stock. For me, it's lower end of the gain range that holds all the magic in this pedal.
