Favorite Recent Builds?

kirshman
I'm just wondering what some of your favorite recent builds are.  I just finished up some older builds, and I don't know if it's just finished ecstasy or if I just built 2 of my favorite pedals so far.  I just finished up the red lama and the maxon od820, and dang they're awesome!  My klon, zen, and vibutron were my favorites before that, but wow these pedals are nice.  Off to the amber now!  A huge thanks to the awesome people that make this community so enjoyable!  I started in Octoberish and I now have built around 45 pedals (not all boxed).  I'd say I'm approaching, if not in, full on addict state.

well i haven't had a lot of time to build lately but, my short list out of order would be:

1 - BJFE Blueberry OD
2 - Dam FR-69
3 - Dam Greasebox

i've got a few that i've got to start and once i finish my enclosure i have to finish my modded BATW Blacksheep. should be done either tonight, or tomorrow.  then i've got a few other builds in the wings that i want to get started and build. i've got some big build plans for this week, and since i'm on break this week, i should be able to get a few of them done, so stay tuned to the pedal show off page.

Well the only things I've built recently are my boxed original of the Poinsettia, the Bearfoot Blueberry and Mictester's relay bypass board, all of which I've enjoyed. (I've bought an Arduino Uno development board and will be faffing about with microcontrollers soon enough, as it severely cuts down the size of such a thing.)
Through all the worry and pain we move on

My favorite recent builds have been the Big Cheese and Ezekiel 25:17. The Zeke is just fantastic. The Big Chesse has been on my board since I built it and I get more flattering comments/questions about that thing than probably any other pedal I've had. People seem to really like that one, which is cool because I love it

My recent vero gems are:

* Barber Gain Changer - wonderful overdrive sound with two gain modes for extra versatility
* G2D Cream Tone - Awesome in every way.  I'm going to box this in a 1590BB with the boost switch and an extra LED for the boost mode (my first try at a two switch pedal...)
* Marshall Shredmaster - needed to incorporate a few mods, but it sounds great now.  Very cool distortion.

Honorable mentions:

* Jack Deville Deuce Coupe - Hot overdrive at 18 volts.  What's not to like?  I built the non-boost version.
* Sabbra Cadabra - Very cool amp-like sound, but a little noisy for me.  I may try the DS-1 buffer in front of this to see if it helps the noise.

Next up on the build list - the Janglebox compressor!

The Sabra Cadabra was good but a bit much for me. I'm gonna have to try tweaking the emitter resistor on the treble booster Q as suggested.

The Janglebox on the other hand.. Don't get me started on that. I'm pulling a Heath big time on it. First build worked but sounded weird.. I made tons of subs so I just rebuilt it. Now it seems like I can hear it working properly but it's super quiet. Not sure how I fucked up such a simple circuit twice..

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the time to probe it

Thanks Travis, I'll be careful with the Janglebox.  Looks straightforward enough...

I've finally built myself a Klon(e), using a Grind Customs Chimaera board and I have to say, its living up to the hype. Kicked my tubescreamer of my board. I also built a Twin Peaks tap tremelo from drolo on the Madbean forum, and while it has some quirks, its a very versatile tremelo. I wonder how his tap tempo phaser will work out.

I built 1776 Effects Multiplex delay with added modulation a few months back and it's still probably my favorite pedal.
I've recently boxed a Mad Bean Honey Dripper (Dipthonizer) Which is damn cool, a Civil War muff with mods on a Guitar PCB board and it sounds great! Oh and who can forget the Arcadiator

Travis that is a bit weird. I have built two Jangleboxes, and have just started on a third.

Both the ones I have completed, fired up first time, and without any issues at all.

I hope you can get yours sorted!

The only one I built so far in 2015 is a crunchbox which sounds damn good for such a simple build
I have a 1776 thunderbird pcb on my bench that will probably keep me busy when i get the time

i have the fever. as well. i have done 5 dam red roosters once i built one  and my friends all wanted one. i have built two vox tonebenders awesome as well. 3 klon centaurs, 1 univibe  madbean board harbinger one.i built a heath kit fuzz for a bass player friend of mine .  i love them all but the one i really like is the Marshall shredmaster. i used a jekyll hyde schematic and substitutide several values from the hyde which is a modded shredmaster. i am starting an MXR micro amp , dod 250 and an mxr distortion plus . all three boards are semi filled and are basically the same circuit with subtle differences mainly diodes and some resistor cap values but all three can built on the same layout pretty much . i
