Hell Yes!
I'm going to your site now for the layout. I hope I have the parts. That is a perfect companion for the Arcadiator.

Fredrik, is there a chance of the deluxe being on vero in the future?

Re: Flash Filter Fuzz

Yes, maybe.

Although it kinda falls into the category "too big for vero" imo..
But maybe someone else wants to do it? I'll ask in the request section.. :)

Hi Freppo,

sounds really cool. Do you also sell the pcb? How much would it be? Or maybe it's time for me to try out etching.

Hi KT

I'm glad you like it. :)
I don't sell PCB's, except for my arcadiator pedal, PCB for it can be bought from rullywow.com

You guys should really try etching. It's not as hard as you might think. :)
I might do a tutorial for my blog some time in the future.

Re: Flash Filter Fuzz

Freppo
I made a vero layout for this one today. :)
As expected I had to use alot of cuts and links..
but it didn't turn out that bad.

I haven't built it, but i'm fairly confident that it's ok.
I've looked it over a couple of times against the schematic and the PCB layout.

I would be happy if someone wants to verify it :)

Sweet! I'm not sure if I have a 4066 but I plan to give it a go ASAP.

Could you tell me what the dimensions of the PCB are?
I would prefer to use a 125 a box and the vero will be too big to fit the width. If the PCB will fit I may still try to etch it.

Awesome :)
The PCB is 65 x 66 (millimeters)

Re: Flash Filter Fuzz

Thank for the quick response. It looks like even the PCB will be a hair too big. I'm just not a fan of the shallow boxes but I guess it must be done.
I still have to order the 4066 and the 1n34a.
Out of curiosity what purpose does the single germanium diode serve?

Re: Flash Filter Fuzz

Freppo
It's just a clipping diode (hard clipping to ground) together with a 1N4148. I thought asymmetrical sounded just alittle bit meaner in this circuit, but the difference is subtle, so another 1N4148 will work fine insted of the 1N34A. :)

The signal is already pretty much clipped as much as possible by the schmitt trigger / zero crossing detector before that, but the diodes are needed to attenuate the signal to make headroom for the resonant filter.

Parts are on the way. Hopefully all goes well and I'll be able to verify the vero. I did order some blank boards to etch just in case.

Ok buddy, you can tag the Deluxe vero as verified! She fired right up and sounds fantastic. Thank you for your work and sharing. I'll post a pic once it is boxed.

Re: Flash Filter Fuzz

It was a little tighter fit that I had hoped for but the box closed and that's all that mattered.

Haha, that looks great! I love it, especially the LED clown nose
Although I find clown a bit disturbing.. What kind of size enclosure is that?
