Wondering if anyone out there could whip up a vero for some of the older FD2 versions. I see there's already an FD2 Mosfet vero up on the site, but personally I think it's much too bright and really prefer the pre-Mosfet versions.
A second, potentially more difficult request: if at all possible, I'd LOVE to see a FD2 without the boost section so that it could fit into something like a 125B enclosure or other 'single' size. I own a FD "2.4" (Non-Mosfet, Toggle model) but don't use the boost much. I have yet to find a TS-type that sounds just right to my ear like the FD2 does but i'd really like to replace it with a smaller pedal.
SO, that being said--anyone know of a way to vero a Non-Mosfet FD2 without the boost? Not sure if it's possible or not, but figured it was worth checking on. Thanks!!
Nice layout once again. I fit the mosfet version into a 125b no problem. you can fit a 24x33 in a 125b from smallbear if your plan perfectly. if you use a tayda box ,mammoth box, or deair box its 23x32 the small bear enclosures have thinner sides leaving more room.you do need to shave the vero down as close as possible,Thanks
so whats the main difference between the early versions and the mosfet? I see that the the tone control 220n is a 330n on this one, the 100r on the output buffer is a 470r . the 10pf of the opamp to ground is omited and the germanium transistor for Q2, Any idea of the hfe for Q2 i have plenty to choose from .
