Oscillation and Bleed Through- Acapulco Gold

Anyone have an idea why I would be getting oscillations from an Acapulco Gold and why it would bleed into the clean signal? Both JRC386 were in a working Acapulco and the input is grounded during bypass. I also bypassed the switch and went directly to the jacks which didn't do anything for the noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am having this exact same issue, and i've tried replacing the switch and the pot, but to no avail. I still hear the distorted signal when the pedal is in bypass. I believe it may have  something to do with the LED being powered through the circuit, but i can't confirm. Did you end up solving the issue you were having? I also socketed the chips while i was soldering, so i am reasonably sure there should be no issues.

I wound up rebuilding it, I never figured it out myself. It's such a small circuit it wasn't worth the time debugging since I had the parts.
