This guy makes crazy sculpture out of components that use photocells to make rhythms and stuff. It's really cool.

that's amazing. besides the genius behind the circuits, the way puts it all together is just stunning. i mean if the circuits didn't do anything and didn't even make a sound, they just look gorgeous.

Yup - just the item he had on a stand with the speak on the top would be a cool piece for the front-room, working or not!

And, not one ounce of Vero to be found too!

i'v been thinking about what i saw, and you know everyone goes craze of point to point wiring. now that was point to point. no vero, no turrets, just one wiring for positive one for negative and all the components in between. it looks like a schematic.

Yeah, imagine making an effect like that and just housing it in some sort of clear plastic with plenty of LEDs and stuff.

Wouldn't be the most compact or practical effect, but man would it look amazing on stage.

Maybe not even an effect. Some sort of synth or whatever.

Heck - why restrict it to effects or synths. Think about what your home stereo or sound system would look like for your big screen

that would be incredible. i was thinking about an amp. then you'd have the tubes connected and suspended from those wires. the thought of that is making me drool.......

I love his "wall of sound" thing later on. You could build one on a bit of perspex that works in reverse, so that on a dark stage you can play it with a torch.

Have a look at this instructable. Making a free form circuit and encasing it in resin has been on my list of things to try for a long time
