Why shielded 3 core wire?
I think that usually we need to shielded the wire that come from input jack to the footsiwtch, and from the output jack to the output. And maybe the input and the output wire of the board?

Anyway, this problem has been solved by someone, now? Shieldeding the wires, or boxing up the board...
Even the last layout posted in the previous page has squeal problem.

I guess I read that introducing the extra stage of the G3 in the G4 schematic on the breadboard we got the squeal. Maybe on the breadboard is a problem.

Did somebody try to build the G3 using the G4 layout and add the G3 extra stage on a daughterboard?

I built it (and the G4) with Buggs pcb (last revision, with 4 72s).
Less gain that I would expect considering youtube videos, this could be my guitar (medium output HB) or the fact that I play it in front of my amp (tweed, no fx loop), but still enough to play heavy stuff.
Anyway, very easy build and sounds great, a very well defined distortion with a lot of clarity, from early ACDC to 90's metal.
A bit more gain on the G4, and different voicing, more modern
Both are keepers
(On the G3, agression on red I have some squeal with gain over 2 o clock. If I put a buffer before, no more sqeal. No sqeal at all with the G4, no matter the setting)

Built it and worked but with some troubles on the switch. left and middle sounds good, but just the same  mode, dont change the sound in both positions. Right side sounds like a fat fuzz.
