Three new builds

Have I mentioned how much fun I get out of building layouts from this site?  I have a lot of fun and learn something every time.  Thanks, guys.

You've got a real knack for classy-looking enclosures.

Thanks Chris.  I print the text and graphics onto clear laser decal stock.  Wet-sanding the powdercoated enclosures to P600 and using decal softener helps me get rid of any bubbles and make them lie nice and flat by rolling a q-tip over them.  Finish is matte clear Krylon.  My day job doing finish touchups on guitars has taught me that matte finish makes inconsistencies (like decal edges) less conspicuous, while gloss finishes makes them stand out more.

Also worth noting - gloss Krylon reacts with the foam lining of my Pedaltrain case, so the pedals I've finished in gloss have little bits of black gunk stuck to them.  The matte doesn't seem to do that.

I've got the means to spray nitrocellulose lacquer in any sheen, gloss UV Poly, gloss or flattened regular catalyzed poly, or catalyzed lacquer if I choose.  But the matte Krylon sprays fine, looks good, dries faster than anything, and requires no spraygun cleaning.
