Sounds good. In all seriousness Alex you'll probably make a much neater layout for this than I would, but I'll still take a stab at it.

Re: EQD The Depths (gut shots)

No worries. Neater doesn't make it better. We'll put all the names in there anyway. Whatever Ciaran choses, it will be his fault!
I was thinking it should possibly fit in a 1590B box like the original but I've started drawing the op-amps part and...
Maybe a separated LDR/LED board would help?

Excited for this one!

If you do a separated board for the LDR/LED, and they are stacked, you would most likely need a taller enclosure. Perhaps a 125B? Also, would this increase the chances of the dreaded LFO Tick?

The original is a 125B Alex so that gives a little more room.

Crap! Thanks guys! Now I don't remember the max span for a 125B..
23x24?

Original is a 125B indeed, a 1590B would be too small I guess.

I don't have a 125B (shamefully) or I'd check it for ya Alex!

I think if you put 3 pots on the top of the box, 2 on the side in the middle with the LEDs/LDR board in between, the 2 jacks, the 3PDT and the power plug at the bottom it might fit in a 1590B Box.
If you isolate the daughterboard wires it shouldn't tick. What do you think?

Re: EQD The Depths (gut shots)

Ciaran Haslett
Maybe.  Thats the arrangement I tend to do for all my builds.  It allows more board length when you don't have to fight with a top mounted DC socket.  The depth of the dual gang rate pot might still be an issue with a board on top of that but I'm perfectly happy to try.

Have you breadboarded this Ciaran?

First thing tomorrow morning lad.  I'm fairly confident the trace matches BassVD's pics and the scheme deffs matches the trace. I'll put it to bed once and for all tomorrow.

Schematic updated and verified on Page 1.  Yay!  Spent too long looking for a problem on the breadboard I completely missed that I copied a cap value wrong from the board pics to the trace.  Literally pissed me off so much I've no interest in hooking up my guitar and amp for a good evaluation.  I'm away for a beer and some Battlefield haha.

May the Layout Wars begin!

Ha, wow, that's some great work, Ciaran! Good job on the trace and that you could get it working.

Re: EQD The Depths (gut shots)

This post was updated on .
To draw this layout for a 125B box was a nightmare!
I think I had less stress with the Sagan Delay!
Good luck Zack and Travis! (Not to draw a better layout but just to go through the stress of drawing one)
I've drawn 2: one for the 125B and one for 1590B (in theory).
The second one is correct but you better double check the first one (99% sure it should match the schematic but...)
(Already added all names just in case we'll end up using 1 of the 2)

Holy crap! This just went to the top of my to-build list. I gotta order some parts first. Out of enclosures and running low on a few values.

Re: EQD The Depths (gut shots)

That's some crazy work you did there! Good job. :)

I couldn't help but immediately notice two things in the first layout:
1) There's no D2?
2) There's a cut+link under the TL072?

My eyes aren't trained enough to see any other things that are off, so someone else might notice other things (or not).
