Earthquaker Device Monarch Overdrive

the EQD Monarch is a mild to moderate overdrive designed to emulate an Orange tube amp.  I just finished drawing this one up from a schematic based on the values of the original, built and tested yesterday it so this one is verified.

How does it sound compared to your Orange pre boxes?

I think that it sounds excellent (and fairly similar tonally) but it doesn't have as much punch, balls, or gain, so it's actually a completely different animal. kinda like comparing apples to oranges

since both johnk, and surgeon built it and it works, i would say the is verified.

Can anyone help me on this one? Ibuilt it and it worked good for a while til i maxed the treble then it cuts out completely.It will come back to life when i touch my finger between the gate and source of Q2.I think Q2 is the bottom of the two 5457? on the schematic they are labeled Q3 and Q4. when i put my finger on the gate and source the circuit comes back to life as long as i keep my treble at 50% or less.Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
