Here is what my own Arcadiator will look like on the insides.
I will release it in a month or so as my first commersial pedal.
Very exciting! And I could never have done it without this place :)

Noisy Cricket. Housed in my grandfather's old tube radio enclosure. The radio was totally busted. I was hoping to salvage the cool old alnico 4" speaker, but it was turning to dust as you touched it.
I have a collection of small speakers salvaged from various electronics I find. I tried a bunch out and this one sounded the best by far. I believe its from an old keyboard. This amp sounds really good. I'm pretty surprised actually.
nice man. i really love it. i've been thinking about doing something similar but with a ruby tubey and an old wooden radio that could hold an 8" speaker.
Hey thanks. Yeah, that would be a great project. I almost went with a tube circuit, but I realized that I'd mostly like to use this amp as a no-fuss "too lazy to break out my real amps" amp or when traveling out of town. Being able to run it this on a simple 9v battery or supply does just that.
But, I'm still tempted to build a tiny tube amp just for kicks. I'd love to make something like a Zvex Nano in a cool radio box.
Just ran a bunch of pedals into it. Sounds great with reverb, delay, and OD/fuzz pedals.
My favorite no frills tube amp that I own is a Gibson GA-5. 8" speaker, 5 watts. On/Off switch, and a volume control. It sounds so good on its own, but if you throw an EQ pedal in front of it, and you can pretty much do anything.
Cheers Zach, I've been rather slow recently, due to family commitments, (and guitars - see weekend projects) so this Sharkfin has taken me ages. Worth it though, it's insane!
