Converted my GCB95 to a GCB95F mostly due to this shootout.

Retained the pcb jacks and installed the red fasel on the original pcb.

Removed all the original caps, resistors, transistors and diode to make room for the 16 x24 stripboard. Added some jumpers on the back to get the WAH-2 and WAH-3 connections closer to the stripboard connections.

Also replaced the SPDT stomp wth a DPDT and an optrotron bypass, which has additional DC filtering.

And since there was room, added trimmers for the "Q" mod and the "Vocal" mod. Also added a 5k1 resistor between Wah-1 and ground to tame the highs at toe down. Moved the pot gear linkage so the Wah engages immediatly from the heal down position.

Bumped the mids, bass and Q1 gain a bit by changing the 1k5 "mids" resistor to 1k8. Lowered the 470R "gain" resistor to 330R and increased the 47k "coupling" resistor to 100k to keep from overloading Q1

And last, added some shielding to the input/output wires.

The original wah was a little thin sounding, noisy/humming and had a slight delay before engaging from the heal down position. Now better for classic rock and dead quiet :0)

Nice job. I came across quite a heavy duty empty wash case in my garage which I must have had for at least 10 years and forgot about 🤣
I was wondering what to put on it so you may have inspired me 👍🏻

Thanks Mark, that's nice to hear!
Your layouts have been inspiring me for 10 years or so :0)

Finally got this one off my "someday" list

Custom 10 Band Graphic EQ (I fat-fingered the 6400 band label)
Powered with the BYOC 27v boost supply and a 1776 Optotron silent bypass (CPC1017 rather than the H11F1)

Added 3 additional Mids bands to the GE-7 inspired by this Tim Pierce video

The top row has the low and high bands and are mostly set and forget. The bottom is where the mids magic happens.

Nice one! That's a whole lot of fine-grained control there.
