Re: Show your pedal guts!

Sensei Tim
I haven't had a chance to try it out beyond strumming some strings to see if it works properly. I sprained my elbow and wrist last week so i won't really be able to play (wish i had some good DI's and a reamping set up, lol) plus i finished this around midnight and it was too late to test properly.

Based on how nice this sounded so far i can't wait to give the b3k a spin.

Some feedback regarding the layout I have - you may have updated it or already know about it:

1. the drive control is backwards - should be Volume 1 to Drive 1&2 in the lower left

2. cramming those 100u caps in there was a challenge lol, especially the one in the upper left.  Tantalums would probably be better suited size-wise here.

Thanks for getting this layout done!

Here's a Korg Mr Multi in progress, waiting on a few stray caps before I can finish off the switch wiring, but not far off finishing.

Here goes. My first completed, boxed-up vero-build. This is a Marshall Guvnor that's going to be a gift for my brother. Used LED:s for clippers, like the original, instead of putting in the switch that's in the layout. Just something less to worry about. However, everything went very smoothly with this one. Fired up right away and sounded great from the start . It sounded so good I immediately realized that I was going to have to build one of these for myself aswell, so that's coming up soon .

Sybil - Amp emulation console.

6 "personalities"

Each are an always-on pedal, so no stomp switches. 3P4T switches select the desired amp or bypass.

There is also a 9v/18v toggle and a Naga Viper boost toggle.

Current lineup:

USA
Ampeg - Runoffgroove Ginger
Supro - Runoffgroove Supreaux Deux with added bottom control
Fender - Catalinbread Formula 5 modded with baxandall tone control

British
Hiwatt - Catalinbread WIIO
Marshall - Wampler Plexi with added 4 position bottom control.
Vox - Catalinbread Galileo with added Naga Viper Range control. Naga can be applied to all amps via toggle switch.

quad controls laid out the same for each amp - Volume, Gain, Bass/Bottom, Treble/Tone.

with some homemade shielded wires added afterwards

huminator and charge pump stuffed in the center, ground distribution under jacks.

Haven't posted a build in a long time, cause well as you guys know I've been busy with med school, but finally after months of testing, and some help from friends for R&D and testing (Travis & silver) a massive project is finally complete.

Essentially it's a modified FuzzFace, with a clean blend, and tone control that behaves well with buffers and reacts to your guitars volume. Some say it was impossible, but it's not, just the biggest pain in the ass, the FuzzFace is a temperamental bitch to say the least. It's a fucking monster.

Unfortunately, it's something I won't be sharing a layout for, cause it's going to be a signature pedal for my buddy Matt Lynch of the band Snail, and something that I'll be selling. Graphic is by the SoCal artist skillit, whose also a friend of Matt's.

Runoffgroove Azabache w/2P4T rotary and a hiss reduction 3-way toggle.  I used an orange superbright LED which looks really nice with the color scheme (13k3 CLR).

This post was updated on .
Mash up of Wampler Pinnacle, Wampler Sovereign and Runoffgroove Tonemender.

Including a 9v/18v Sag switch and 3-way Toggles for in-between Boost & Bright modes.

(sorry, pedal name was requested)

Drilled the jacks a bit high, had to lay down the electrolytics
