PMowdes

Thanks Travis, means a lot coming from you.

I've been doing a some work with Dino lately, we have a schumann two fuzz and a frostwave Funk-a-duck in the works.

One day i'll know half as much as you guys about electronics.  For now i'll keep plodding along and learning new tricks with Eagle.

(P.s any build recommendations most welcome  )

Maybe one day I'll figure out how to use Eagle

As for recommendations maybe one of those amp sims? People seem to be all over that JFET Sunn preamp that Zach and Ciaran did, would be a nice one for board mounted pots for sure

A couple things I've been seeing demand for are a good sounding spring reverb driver (like surfy bear?) and a nice noise gate. I've never used a noise gate so I'm not much help there. Seems like the ISP and Boss units are popular

Spaceman Gemini III germanium/silicon fuzz

This pedal was the biggest pita. Micro solder bridges everywhere and tomtop itnoff I got the PNp and NPN transistors mixed. No wonder they took a month to debug!

How do you like the Gemini? One of my friends had one and it was pretty sweet

Do you leave the transistors in the sockets like that?

Re: Show your pedal guts!

I'm not really a big fuzz guy so take my impression with a grain of salt.

It's an interesting concept.  The tone control is interesting - it's a dual gang pot that acts more like a blend than a filter.  The tone switch works on the germanium side and it flips the sweep of the germanium side so when the silicon side is at minimum the germanium side is a max, etc.

The lack of gain control is not what i'm used to, but the 3-way switches cover a lot of ground.

the 2N3700 is quite spendy

cool pedal. would i build it again? sure. would i build it for me? no.

transistors they're in the sockets for now. i'm trying to decide if i want to solder the legs into the sockets (with an alligator clip on the leg) or remove the sockets and solder them into the board directly.

Paisley Drive, tweaked with a 20k W Tone control, 1M Gain control and some extra noise filtering.

This is about as close as I will get to something as pristine as Bogey's

Customer acquired a BSIAB II that I made about 3 or 4 years ago in a trade and wanted a 2nd one.

Emanating Fist Black Acid clone with high gain 2N404As, sounds better than the BC109Cs:

ZVex Fuzz Factory clone with low gain MP21A's:

Way Huge Swollen Pickle (RIIIIIIICK!!!) clone:

Again... don't know why they are sideways. Sorry.
