Not the neatest insides, but not as spaghetti-ish as usual.

Is there anyone that uses waterslides who can advise how to screw in the pots and switches without damaging? A lot of times it's ok, but as seen here, the waterslie around the switches 'turns'. An option is to not turn it as hard, but then the pots and switches will be too loose and 'move' inside..

Those are unmarked and salvaged from electronic surplus score. Q1 and Q2 are a dual in one package transistor,  both with hFe in the 40s, and Q3 measures about 110

My Snow White Auto Wah that I just finished building, using the SWAH V3n PCB from GuitarPCB. Not by far my neatest internals, although it turned out pretty good. Decided to go for the gigantic 10mm LED for pointless aesthetic reasons.

Enclosure is one of Tayda's pre-powder-coated 125Bs, and the quality of the powder coat is actually quite good (despite the fact that I accidentally damaged it). Circuit sounds rather nice, I might have wired the sensitivity pot backwards...

Fuzz (and so fun!!!) week end for me. A GI Fuzz (I'm happy with the wiring with 6 knobs and a toggle), a Soul Bender with a charge pump and a Fuzz Factory with bass cap mod. I don't know yet which is my favorite, they are really different animals.

@zanius, you're wright, it was just a small wink to thank you for the ideas you gave to me.

I think Tayda and BLMS both get these enclosures pre-finished from Daier. The quality of the paint itself isn't too bad but the only protection they give the finish during shipping is the shrink wrap so they are usually scratched up by the time you get them. The white tends to be the best one, the black is always scratched up

All in all they are the worst quality finish compared to PPP, mammoth, and Smallbear, but really cheap.

Yeah I noticed that, mine wasn't very scratched up (thankfully) but was dinged in a few not very noticeable places. When I say I damaged it it's because of the marker I used to mark the holes to be drilled wouldn't come off with isopropanol or acetone and the only other solvent I had was lacquer thinner, which did the job when combined with copious amounts of elbow grease but took the gloss out of the finish. The resilience of the coating itself under these circumstances actually surprised me, considering that they are quite cheap, as you mentioned.

Hearing the black one was scratched up is a bit disconcerting, although I went with these this time partly because they're cheap and partly because I was curious if they were any good. I've used their 1590Bs before, and same thing applies; obviously they're not quite as quality as an actual Hammond box, but considering I paid like $6 and saved myself a few days of work, I'm not at all disappointed.

Also @trom thanks man haha

For me they have all had the same damage. There are very subtle bumps on the face of the enclosure and these little bumps take most of the damage from rubbing on the other enclosures stacked up (with dirt/debris) in the package. Black finishes show any flaw so it's most noticable on the black ones of course.

By the way, nice build!

Combination cabinet simulator and headphone amp in a single stomp.

Still have to mount the boards properly but it sounds great!

Nice Sensie Tim, which circuits did you use for each?

It's an MXR headphone amp and the multicab sim from here.

i only tried it thru my little Yamaha thr5 and the bass and mids work well. The treble wasn't as noticeable but then again, you want to tame the high end harshness when using a cabsim, right?

With any luck my soldano x88r circuit will work and I'll be able to try it with the cabsim later this week :)

Once again it's a great one. Seems that you did a lot of mod on this layout. If you agree to share it I will be very happy. I already build the 5 knob comp (and I like it a lot) but you make it to another level.

Thanks again trom72.

The Tone control is certainly nice, more of a bass-cut type control, totally noiseless. But I'm not sure that in itself would be worth another build...unless you feel the one you have could use a bass-cut control :0)

I was hesitating on posting the layout only because I'm not sure which control I prefer on the outside, Attack or Clip. I'm toyig around with a few other ideas too.

But I'll gladly send you the one I used for this build if you like. It does sound great!

Re: Show your pedal guts!

Thanks for your answer. I will listen you,  if you think it's noiseless I will keep it like it is.  I will just add a toggle for the jangle mod.
Thanks again and congrats for all the ideas and mod you add to the standard builds. It's always interesting.

Hi, sorry by noiseless I meant not a typical treble-adding tone control, which can add a bit of noise. The BYOC tone control I used for this one is really good and does not not contribute any noise.

If you feel yours could use a tone control to add Jangle, it might be worth it.

You could probably easily test the BYOC Tone control idea by replacing the 15k resistor that's in the middle of the original board (just to the left of IC1) with a 100k or 110k to see if you like the bass cut.
