"Travis, I will add the FM-2 to my hopelessly expanding build list, thanks for the tip. Though I haven't done the Foxx Tone Machine yet...
BassVD that Reverberation Machine looks amazing.
Trom, your Sagan build is giving me that old familiar itch... "

Yes, you should definately build the FM-2 Fuzzmaster - It's an evil brute and you will love it.

Here's mine:

One thing that I love about my FM-2 is that it's pretty much impossible to play butt-rock on it. There isn't a single thing you can do to it to make it sound like Nickleback or something like that, no matter how hard you try. A lot of the heavy fuzzes get into butt-rock territory, while the FM-2 sounds like satan's kazoo or something. Very refreshing pedal when everyone wants to make their fuzz sound so perfect

First build in about 2-3 months.  Had the boards for this built a while back, just got busy with other things.
Thought I should finally get around to boxing them.
My guts never work out as tidy as I hope they would be, but hey the pedal sounds great and I'm happy with the overall aesthetic.
I called it Mission Control as it will drive my 2 delay and reverb space stations.
It's a flatline/afterlife compressor and Hotcake combo.
Really happy with both.

Nice build John. I have a few hundred of those TI 2N404. Those are awesome transistors

Kinski and Marbles - Build one! Hope you like it as much as I do! Try it with some low output single coils and you'll see what I mean. Btw "Satan's Kazoo" is a registered trademark of Turner Musical Instruments Ltd

thanks Travis. the trick to getting a Harm perc right is having a 2N404 with the proper HFE and leak specs.

Out of a few hundred of those TI 2N404, only a small handful of them have any measurable amount of leakage (testing with DCA55).

savvas those look great, as do all of you guys that posted builds above. i take it you didn't acid etch those enclosures savvas, did you use the CNC you made? cause the detail looks even better then the enclosure you did the first time you used it.

Squirrels as I have said before I am always a fan of your work but these 3 have to be your best yet. Not necessarily referring to the subject matter, but the level of detail and precision in your artwork is better than ever. The Doomidrive in particular is just awesome!

Thanks Travis. Nothing says doom like Dopesmoker and I figured purple would give it a more of a darker look.

If I haven't said it already thank you to everyone else who works with this blog and forum. This has been a great hobby.

Squirrels, you are indeed an artist and I have to agree with Travis wholeheartedly, those pedals look amazing I'd be doing well if I could manage to paint on letters that I could even read but it's always good to see such inspiring work on here, makes me want to put the effort in to try and make a good job of my own stuff

Yeah man sleep rules! The first time I saw them I went temporarily blind in the middle of their set. It was so hot in there (and I had consumed much more beer and weed than water), that I started to pass out from a heat stroke. I got tunnel vision which closed into complete blackness. It was a really trippy experience not knowing why my eyes stopped working, while listening to the ultimate doom which is sleep and stumbling blindly through the crowd. They never seemed heavier or doomier in my life :0

So yeah the doomidrive artwork gets a hearty "fuck yeah!" from me :)

That's awesome, my wife won tickets to see Sleep two years ago but we couldn't go unfortunately. We did see High on Fire on our honeymoon though (with Mastodon) and will be seeing them again with Meshuggah next month. I love that my wife loves the same music as I do... and that she tolerates my hobbies. Ha.

Travis is that when we were at psychocali? All I remember was just being taken to another world and being hit by a wall of fuzz like nothing else.

I've seen high on fire a few times now, mostly smaller venues and I swear there is nothing else in this world that compares to mike pike playing guitar. Instantly recognizable and just incredible, no one plays like him.

Funny thing is I've been listening to sleep, om, and high on fire a lot recently so that doomidrive is just perfect timing for me. Lol
