thanks man. i figure that actually making an official company will help get some money in while i go back to school, plus help out keep me with a steady supply of parts . now that i'm so happy with how it turned out, i have to go back and redo the enclosures on my other builds especially the ones that i plan on selling. got to make things look good for people to be interested . i'm working on a few other designs that i will hopefully get doing soon. i'll be posting them up as soon as they're done.

btw, i'm going to be working towards physical therapy. the only thing that sucks is that i have to wait till 2016-2017 to get into a program, so this is going to be an interesting year in the meantime. i have to squeeze in and take a few classes that i didn't take when i was premed in college, so i can get a head, and have it look good when i apply in October. all this makes me pretty excited actually.

just finished this civil was clone tonight. I used KT3102 transistors and KD521A diodes:

That looks great! Where did you get the enclosure?

This may be the ugliest pedal I've ever built.. I got a batch of 5 blemished enclosures for $10 from pedalparts plus and they're all predrilled and butt-ugly. Since this was predrilled I had to make a circuit in there with 4 knobs. Since it's so ugly I didn't want to waste too much effort on it. So the Menatone Red Snapper was a good choice because it's real simple and sounds sweet.

In the end I really like this thing. It looks like crap, but it's built tough and sounds awesome. And it cost $10-15 total

The enclosure is from Ebay, they are somewhat expensive, the paint job is not that good(no primer, they're not powder coated). I will probably clear coat the next enclosure from the start, just to add another few layers of protection cause I made a few scratches on the sides with metal shavings while drilling.

It's named differently, but you can see model numbers and dimensions at the description

DAM FR-69. Used Rocket88's awesome layout.

1590A
Used MP20A both around 75 hfe.
Added a voltage inverter.
A 3-way 4PDT to switch the two output caps 2.2nf/6.9nf/24.2nf.
Put depth pot as a trimpot inside and set it to max. Then put an 100kb pot on the input. It just mellows the fuzz out a bit, which can be useful, as this thing is an angry bastard.

I'll post a pic of the guts later on. No time right now.

Great build. I'm always impressed with you guys and your 1590A builds. I just built a little 1590A meathead and wired the input and output jacks backwards  took me a few minutes of banging on it to figure out what I did wrong

Sorry if my aesthetic theme bores you guys. I realize it's repetitive

Finally got around to trying the Sonic Titan. It's as amazing as I expected! With the 386N-3 I'm not hearing any issues with the decay, haven't tried popping in a 386N-1 yet.

My girlfriend gave me a big bag of components including these sprague 4u7 tants so I loved putting them to use and this pedal sounds great. Thanks to Mark for the layout

Squeee! Who cares about the outer looks (mainly because I pretty much suck at outer design).
The inside is beautiful
Yeah, 220, 221. Whatever it takes.

boring or not, i think it looks great. i do like the simple looking builds. they always turn out super clean. btw, another one that's on my list to build. i'm going to get to build the Zeke this weekend *fingers crossed*. I just got the enclosure etched, painted, cleared, and drilled, so not it's the easy part, the board.

Thanks Chris and Zach! Chris if you haven't built the Titan yet you should (based on your comments in the favorite build thread)

Zach - yay! I understand the feeling when you've got a build on your list that you never get time to finish! Luckily I had enough time after work this week to build 3 pedals *o*

I'm hoping to get at least one more done this weekend. Going for the Crunch Box next because everyone recommends it. Also really wanna do the Animato layout from albru

Travis - What layout did you use? Was it the one with the modded tone stack?

Cheers
Chris

I used Mark's axial layout that he linked at the bottom of the comments on the regular Sonic Titan page. Personally I like the tone stack. It cuts gain as it's rolled back but if you use it interactively with the other controls it's pretty cool how it can get you some different sounds. I'm happy with all of the sounds anyway so don't need to change it

Why do all of your builds have to be so damn gorgeous, Travis. I'm sitting here making circuits out of mis-fitting and salvaged parts with wiring disasters to rival an IT department and you...

Just... IT in general  if you've seen some of the server rooms and whatnot they're mostly an incoherent mess that somehow work.

On  that note though Rocket your builds lately have been very nice as well.

Thanks man! Funny you say that. I salvaged the two Philips 10uf caps and look how the one on the right is floating over the resistors. I had to fight that one because I barely had enough lead length to let it float and there's no way it can lay flat on the board there

I can't wait till I'm home from work so I can plug in again :o

THat is a lovely neat build - I'm gonna have to work a bit harder on my builds now

The board is sweeeeeeeeeeett

I think I'm going to have to add this to my list if its as good as you say
