Yeah, the plague is pretty epic! Unfortunately I had to send it on its merry way. At least I have another one of the enclosures ready to go for my own build of the Plague!

Some of the builds on this thread are just outrageous, really setting a high bar for us newcomers. Thanks for the inspiration!

These are my 17th and 18th builds.

Mutron Phasor II with Krypton PCB, plus Univibe cap values switch.

BJFE Blueberry Bass OD

The Hammerite wrinkled a bit on this one after I applied the vinyl pinstriping...but it's kinda groovy so I kept it as is.

Hey I used that copper Hammerite-like stuff on a pedal once. Turned out pretty nice. Yours did too

EQD Acapulco gold clone in a 1590A with added gain control (IMO, the gain control makes it 1000X better):

For a second you had me thinking there was a new enclosure size called 15890A

I was all zoomed into your pic trying to see how it's different from a 1590A

ROG Ginger.

Nothing special, but this is the first time I have used SMD JFETs.

Close up of the board.

Three of the JFETs are mounted vertically. The one at the top right is mounted horizontally, above the diodes. I had to do this as there was not enough of a gap to sit it down (vertically) flush to the board.

Nice work dude. The heat shrink over the DC jack lugs is a nice touch, and the orange shielded wire makes me happy

Here the inside from my latest build.

Soft touch CMOS based bypass switching. Unfortunatley I get a popping sound.. :(
But since I just built this for myself it's ok. The pop isn't very loud.

excellent job man, especially for a first build. love the enclosure pic, i assume it was an etch? don't beat yourself up to much about the wiring, it's not bad at all, especially for a first build.

Thanks rocket. Yes, it's an etch of some found art. Took me 5x to finally get my toner transfer process down.

Lessons learned: Use magazine paper, not glossy photo paper. Preheat the box. Make sure box is sanded smooth, otherwise the acid etched sanding scratches later.  And finally, build outside the box, but do rough prewiring in box for length. Then solder up on a board. Use 3PDT so you don't have to fit Millennium bypasses in there!

you know heath, you always say that but we haven't seen any proof of this robot vomit. i'm sure it's not as bad as you make it out to be.
Challenge accepted.

I just have to get home first. :D

Okay, so it took my 2 weeks to get home...

You guys really want to see this?

Yeesh....

Okay.

Um.. if you are under 18 you might need a parent or guardian present.

Last chance to turn away.

Just kidding.  NOW is your last chance to turn away.

I present.. The TUBE STEAK (Actually, it's just Merlin's "Spark Gap").

(yes, that decal is digitally added since I had a printer meltdown and haven't given enough of a shit to replace it)

Okay, okay, before your gag reflex fully kicks in, I got better.  Not much, but better than that.  Also, I was experimenting with wafer connectors for the tube stuff which didn't go so well, aesthetically speaking.  Still, it goes to show how shitty my wiring work is/was.

That said, when I'm making a pedal for someone else, I take extra special care and at least try to hide my robot vomit.

I'll grab a newer pedal when I get a chance and crack it open.
