Shit, I believed that dbat was from the States! :P

If dBat wants to do it, let's hear how he prefers to do so :)

J.
Naaa, I'm in the UK.  All the action happens on here after I go to bed

I'm happy to do it or Mark, no problem.  Always pleased to help friends across the ponds. Either way just let me know.  I normally use Paypal, so money transfer is easy.

It just annoys me that businesses charge such a lot for international shipping, when reality is completely different

It would be helpful to me if I didn't have to do this at the moment because of things I've got on at home, but I'm happy to do it if necessary.  So if you're ok doing it that would be great.

Many thanks to both :) So, if Mark is a bit busy and Dbat doesn't matter being the Brit Connection, we have our man: dbat :)

To speed up things, as he prefers to do it trough Paypal, things would be like this, for example, in my case:

-150 trannies =  11,55 pounds
- Internal UK shippin= 0,60 pounds (aditional item) + 0,30 pounds (additional item shared with our french friend) + 1.5 pounds (original shippin costs) shared within we all, we are 5 at the moment, so 0,30 pounds, total: 1,20 pounds internal UK shippin'
-Shippin to Spain: For what I've seen, shipping to spain is about 3 pounds (non registered)

So total amount that I should send to dbat is: 11.55 + 1,20 + 3= about 15,75 pounds as a base. Dbat now must tell us how much he wants for handling (envelopes, lables, inks and so on are not free :P)

Do you all think that's correct?

PS By the way, i'm  in Madrid

Javi, I need to get some small padded letters, see if I can keep cost down.  Postage is between £2.35 and £3.20 to Spain.  It is possible I may be able to get the lower price if the envelope is small enough and goes letter post :)

Postage to USA depends on how quick (and weight - 200 transistors is about 100 gms)

Upto 500gms.  £7.45 for 5-7 days, £5.10 for upto 28 days
500 - 600gms. £10.15 for 5-7 days, £6.55 for upto 28 days

Postage to Canada for 100 transistors is £3.48.

These are using the UK Post Office - I won't know for definite until after posting, but gives a guide.

I'll nip out at lunch time and get some envelopes.

For the US, (and possibly Canada - it might be better to post within US?).  ONe package would be best - will this be you as contact Zach?

I can send it to the great white north no problem. Someone should send negative an email, cause I know he really wanted them and he hasn't said anything in awhile, and he's in Colorado. If need be you can send me all the North American ones and I can send them to everyone here, that is if it's cheaper.

I'm in for 500 transistors, so that's $60USD plus whatever the shiopping is, so let me know and I'll send you my portion.

Javi, I checked shipping to you and it's actually $8.88, what I'm going to do is see if I could send then in an envelop, which should cut shipping cost way down. I'll let you know. I just can't believe that shipping is that much to Spain.

Note: thanks Mark for saying you would do it. I really wasn't going to ask you cause I knew you've been really busy. Hope you didn't think I was calling you out on it before.

Oh dear, haven't checked in on this thread for quite a while, been out of the country and busy with work and looks like I've missed out on all the fun?

I'm not interested in 100 of them, but if someone wants 50 or even more (I'm happy to have 20 or so) I don't mind putting an order in, I'm in the UK. Either that, or someone EU/UK based willing to sell on a few of those?

I was at Iron Horse on Thursday night.  Decent beer selection but not quite what I'm used to in Fort Collins.   ;)

Haven't been there, but if I knew we could have gone to a good bar with lots of craft beers. Hell, once I get into my new house, November 3, I'll have my beer fridge back with nothing but craft beers. I have a few pints sitting in my mini fridge that need to be opened soon. The problem is grading student work  and drinking beer is more risky then drinking and building effects.

Don't store IPAs!  Other than that, real (ie. non-domestic) beer gets better with age if stored properly.  Don't start brewing beer though or you'll end up like me with an ever growing pile of beers *and* layouts to make!

OK, so to make sure I have this right

Spain:
Javi - 150
Regis - 50

USA & Canada
Rocket - 500
SpaceC - 100

Any other takers before I place an order?

Alex - if there is no one else, I should be able to sort something out

What about negative?

I don't store ipa's, they're usually the first to be drank? Drunk? Whatever the word. Lol. But I just always keep beer to drink, you can never have enough. Lol. And my gf bought me a beer brewing kit, so looks like I'm in real trouble, cause so far I build guitars & effects, build & race cars (I have a 71 chevelle that I've had since I was 16), do tradition pinstriping & lettering, I don't think I can afford another hobby. Lol

I was looking for a smiley of hand smacking head.  (would be a good one to have in the smiley options, the number of times we seem to make a balls up  )

Javi, I take it that I will have to send that 50 lot direct to France then?

Zach - I'm getting confused   Which is very easy

Quote negative: "saying he's in CO and can sell me some so we're going to work out a trade when I get home this weekend"

I took that as meaning he didn't want any.

I'll hang fire until everything is confirmed.
